Shocking!

Post by Skrit »

Just found out that somebody fell from the ninth floor of our flat. Apparently she was working with some flower pots when she toppled over the railing!

Just shows how weird life can get...

Maybe a dumb question, but did she die? :? As there are a lot of stories about ppl surviving such a fall.
Still it's strange when something like this happens with someone you know.

Unfortunatly no! I was rather unlucky as well. When I wanted to do some groceries and walked by she was just being examined and I saw her head... Not a pretty sight!

Sorry if I sound disrespectful, but this qualifies for a Darwin Award.
You couldn't fall from a window/balcony, if you had not done something stupid.
If we are talkin about the ninth floor, this had to be something completely stupid!

Apparently she was busy hanging a pot on some hooks and it slipped. In an effort to keep it from falling or on instinct, she grabbed it, became top heavy and... well the rest is history I guess.

Well, it could have been a good effort as there were a lot of kids playing down on the street just moments before apparenty. One little girl saw it which I find really terrible!

I don't want to bad mouth her but I also heard she was kind of an alcoholic. Maybe that had something to do with it...

Skrit, bad stuff like that happens to all kinds of people. Not just the alcoholics, the drug dealers, and all other bad people. Life is wierd like that. Completly random. If you time is up, its over. nothing you can do about it! Sorry to hear that you had to see that... Must be tough.

I feel sad for that lady, hope she can recover if she is not dead. And if she is dead, hope that her family and friends can overcome it.

And, just my personal feeling and opinion, no matter how that happens, I will not call her stupid. I do not think she wants to end up that way.

And I do not want someone call it stupid if the accident happened on my beloved ones.
