Chest of Colors forum

I have two ideas...

first....a section just for TUTORIALS...no other stuff....only TUT


...and the second thing....i hate it when i want to look at pics in the Forum just to see links....i dont want to jump to other websites...i want to see the pics HERE in CofC and everybody knows the IMG Tag...so please ....you know

I think a tutorial section could be a nice idea

well the forum FAQ (https://www.chestofcolors.com/cofc-postn ... opic&t=141) clearly describes how to insert a picture instead of a link, so this shouldn't be a problem for anyone...

Maybe Lai or Mahon could put up a sticky in the showcase forum with an announcement that posting images directly is preferred over links?

I don't think a seperate tutorial forum is necessary. I mean: if you want to look up information about basing, you go to the basing forum. If you're going to make a seperate forum, this information needs to be looked up in two places. A solution for this would be that the moderators put up a sticky in each of the painting related forums with a list of tutorials that have been posted on the forum, and provide a link to that thread...

and if somebody would like the tutorial to appear in our website's articles section - please send me a PM

I think it also could be useful to be able to attach pictures to posts. I think it should be possible using phpBB and that way it would be easier for those who have no webspace and don't want to register one for a couple of pictures.
This would of course also mean some more database usage, don't know how much you have.

This IS possible but currently I have the attachments blocked.

I can allow them but this exposes the website to some more threats, but I will consider it anyway

An idea again:

We could create a place to collect reference stuff. Self made pictures or those found on the internet, articles about art, color theory, architecture, whatever could be of use. I just encountered some pictures of animal horns, some were quite interesting to see...
