I saw this on CMON:

Good, nice and clean job. But here I see such high note!
But is that really a nmm ? Or just extreme highlighting on the edges? Or maybe its a good example of tendence that what is colorful and clean is popular nad high rated?

This seems to be NMS... Non Metallic Stone...^_^...
Hihi, no, I guess this is "usual" NMM... No special Technique... You can see the Grey, and honestly it isn“t executed well...

the mini is pretty effective, I must admit. but the NMM isn't it's best part

The rating is a bit too high. Not everything is of the same standard. The freehand pattern on the shoulderpad is great, and the bone on the chest and some of the details are nice too. The face stands out nicely. But the black armour is only edged, and not highlighted. The silver nmm is roughly painted on, with misplaced highlights here and there. The sword is messy. I would rate it an 8, not a 9. This is a large mini, with a lot more potential IMO.

I agree Tomaz.
Though, the NMM on the blade is just a matter of personal taste. I prefer the way with many lightning effects, but this looks nice too, and it's effective. There are many people who prefer metallics over NMM, with very different reasons. So why not discuss NMM on it's own? I tend to say, 'it's NMM, and it looks alright' without further looking at it. The NMM 'database' kinda stops with SENMM and NMM. That's a shame, cos there's more to this technique
