At Last I am Painting Again.

Well after a bit of a break I am back to painting minis, though I have nothing finished yet I have decided to start a Khador force for Warmachine and to start it I have decided to do the Behemoth. It was a pressie and seemed a good place to start.
I have very nearly finished the base for the giant machine to stand on and because all the wieght of the Behemoth is on one leg joint which is asking alot of the miniature I have sacrificed a cryx bonejack to be placed under the other upraised leg thus giving some extra support.

I have made a start on the lower half of the Behemoth and will add pics when there is some more progress.

Yes I have added some realistic water with some brown ink added, I am going to add some ripples with water effects before it is finished, I am also going to add a little staining to the rocks and then possibly some patchy snow to finish but we will see about the snow I am not sure yet.

I think a Deathripper taking down a Behemoth might be pushing it a bit far but I did think about a combat diorama with a Cryx Leviathan.

looks good so far. I'm curious to see how you are going to tackle that behemoth :) I have the model too, glued it together, and I didn't find the right way to paint it yet.

Great to hear you're painting again and doing a Khador force :) I'd love to see your take on them :)

I don't like leviathan model... but I'd really love to see diorama where I could see reaper which nailed other mini with it's harpoon...

I was starting to wonder where you had gone .... good to see you 're back in full swing. I like the base very much, I'd even add some more off those long grass halms.

A bit further along now with the Behemoth, the lower lega are nearly done, all the major metalic areas are done and I am now working on the armour plating on the upper legs. The highlights have washed out a bit in the pic but they are by no means done yet even though in actuality they are a little brighter than they appear.

The metals I am very happy with but the red is not to my liking yet but I will have the right of it before long I am sure.

metallics are great - as usually!
although I don't like behemoth model (as most of khador's jacks it looks too clumsy and toy-like :? ) I can't wait to see the diorama finished; at this stage looks very promissing
