2005 balance and what 2006 projects?

Post by NAVARRO »

Saw some nice threads about this on other forums and i think it could be be fun to do a little balance of 2005 and talk about your hobby goals for 2006... maybe some general questions to spice replies :) its flexible so you just answer what you want and can even create more questions.

2005 balance:

-best miniature on market?
-most enjoyable paint work?
-the nightmare paint work?
-goals achieved?
-goals missed?
-new secret tecnique mastered?
-best moment in hobby?
-worse moment in hobby?
-what did you like most on CofC?
-What dint you like so much on CofC?

2006 previsions
- your goals?
- what would you like to see on CofC?
- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006?

-the nightmare paint work?
defenitely first 45 plastic catachans... yuck! :?

-goals achieved?
some commission jobs painted, upgraded my painting dead (and undead  ) flesh

-goals missed?
didn't manage to finish the BUG :(

-new secret tecnique mastered?
unfortunatly none :?

-best moment in hobby?
started cooperation with CofC!!! :king:

2005 balance:

-best miniature on market? that's a tough one, I doubt I can narrow it down but I must say that Rackham are prolly leading when it comes to being best at sculpts. they certainly know what they are doing and I believe they will stay there for a long time to come

-most enjoyable paint work? I basically only painted/converted 6 miniatures this year, but I must say the most enjoyable was my Celeborn. Bought him on Saturday, finished him on Tuesday, about 12 hours of pure painting pleasure :)

-the nightmare paint work? definitely my Broodlord...oh boy...

-goals achieved? number one goal: getting a demon achieved :) getting 3 and one of them in gold was a dream...

-goals missed? Sculpting a complete mini was a goal I didnt achieve in the end. not enough time. otherwise I must say I was really satisfied.

-new secret tecnique mastered? not really any major breakthrough there, trying to get better at doing bases, got me some books on the topic, also on historical minis...just trying to refine details really, trying to get more subtle paintjobs done

-best moment in hobby? ...e il Golden Demon d'Oro nella categoria Signore Degli Anelli...Christoph EichhorAn *lol* Have to say the whole trip to Italy was a blast, people were so kind to and helpfull and not the slightest trace of being annoyed with me because I actually won something

-worse moment in hobby? sorry to say so but the french hatemail I received after Silver in Germany was a real low point...never hated the hobby so much as back then...

-what did you like most on CofC? quote NAV: friendly and mature community /signed

-What dint you like so much on CofC? nothing that comes to my mind really. good sign usualy

2006 previsions

- your goals? Aiming high, want to double my demons...apart from that I only want to get closer to finishing university really...oh and maybe get a CO army painted, but that is only

- what would you like to see on CofC? cant think of anything right now...good sign?

- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006? quote NAV: intolerance to diference /signed[/quote]

-best miniature on market? Hurricane vladimir from PP or the Dai-Bakemono trolls from rackham

-most enjoyable paint work? My latest mini, Chef, not the best but I really had fun painting him. Thanx again tyler

-the nightmare paint work? finishing the archaon on foot after I had knocked him over :?

-goals achieved? Starting with warmachine and finding rackham miniatures to paint

-goals missed? I've missed too many goals, the most important must have been the tale of X gamers :(

-new secret tecnique mastered? Improved my metallics technique greatly, thanx to some CofC members ^^

-best moment in hobby? finding out I had a great new hobby store nearby which basically sells anything hobby related and getting invited to join CofC

-worse moment in hobby? Everytime that those french show their personalities again over something stupid

-what did you like most on CofC? The diversity of people and styles. And the tolerance for eachother

-What dint you like so much on CofC? The failure of the tale project

2006 previsions

- your goals? painting a CO warband (can't decide on Dirz or Wolfen now) and finishing the warmachine army I have. Oh, and starting a new Hordes warband... trolls here I come :D

- what would you like to see on CofC? Even more great miniatures

- last hobby thing you want to experience on 2006? Pinning my thumb again ^^ or eating superglue :P and the thing that Nav said :D
