When posting Quick replies...

Post by Skrit »

I get these a lot lately:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /cofc-postnuke/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

:? Am I doing something wrong or is it something more people are experiencing?

I do not exp this problem neither. Only problem for me is the a bit long loading time for the site, may be bcos of so many pics....

I suggest:

- Check your friends or negibour who is using the same Internet connection company and devises as you do, and se if they encounter the same problem, if they do, it means that may be your local interenet connection get some problems in accessing some specific sites

- Try to access at some mid nite time, to see if it is purely of busy traffic jam

honestly speaking I had it several times, too. Clearing my cache and cookies used to help. It might be busy, that's right and the long loading time sometimes happens to me too. That's because of the 'picture-heaviness' of the website and the fact we're not using any top-notch-but-also-high-price hosting.

I learned to live with it and am not planning to change it in near future, unless something bad happens. I think the quality is good for the price we pay....

Indeed it is and it is not meant as an attack on you or on the forum. I was experiencing this failure a lot lately so I just wondered if I was the only one...

It doesn't happen all the time, just some times a whole day and you lose the posts you've typed and can start all over again. (but as it's a quick reply there isn't much to type all over so it's not too much of a problem)

I don't have any problems with slow loading. My comp is pretty quick and well equiped. That are the advantages when your dad has his own computer business... ;)

Well, one thing I learned while posting on various forums is to:

 COPY (CTRL+C) YOUR MESSAGE BEFORE POSTING IT!
if anything goes wrong, you get logged out, your connection breaks, etc. - you don't lose the effect of (sometimes) several minutes of typing

Hosea, try this article. Do exactly what it says. I used it to clean up my father's computer recently. Despite his use of McAffee, I still found and cleaned about 30 viruses on his system. It also helped identify and remove 550+ spyware and malware problems.

Funny, his printer just wasn't printing as quickly as it used to. I got finished, and its back to being completely normal. Go figure. ;)
