you know these shaved heads/beards where the hair is still shining through the skin...how are you doing it? I don't really feel like experimenting with a deadline closing in O_o

so any hints, links to articles etc. are really apreciated!

I somewhat achieved a similar effect by accident: I accidently painted on a black spot on the skin. While I wanted to fix this error by painting over thinned skin color paint, the black was still visible through the transparent layer, and this looked like a beard or shaved off hair

thanks guys, i think it turned out acceptable already...I took the colors from szymon's tutorial and just painted them on transparently
