I have to admit this miniature I love, not just painting but the whole look of it overall. I did have a few problems with it and at one point I considered stripping him and starting afresh and yet I continued and was rewarded with this. Maybe not my best - as I've been told - but I love it anyways.
C&C welcome

RE: Ar-Ulric Completed
I like it, allthough I think the pics don't do the mini justice.
The fur looks good, as does the face and the metal parts. The things that bother me a bit are the blue tones of the robes. Maybe you should have used some more grades of blue to build up the highlight. As the final highlights seem a bit harsh. The beard could use a bit more variation too... allthough it's highlighted, it still looks a bit flat.
Overall a very good mini! Good job!

As ToMaZ said already, at first I was affraid that the fur cape would be too white but you done a really good job there! Also love the gold.

The blue robes were a problem I had, this is due to lack of blending ability. So yes the highlights are rather sharp although I did attempt to blend it all together using a watered blue ink mixed with midnight blue, it worked to a degree. The beard has more or less no highlights - it's nearly pure white. Probably a bad idea but to give that more aged look it had to look white (also the colour of Ulric is white) but I take your point.
And I still need work with pics but I think I'm slowly getting there. ^^
