heya,

some new works from me after a painting stop of 2 weeks :)

the first is a black dragon I am painting for my dark elf army. It's table top quality, with the scales and the lord ( which has yet to be mounted ) a little above that standard to make the entire piece the centrepiece of my army.

Dragon

the second is my first 54 mm and also my first serious attempt at a historical miniature. So far I am very very happy with results, especially from blendings because it's hard to get them smoothly on such large areas. It is supposed to be a muted pallette, but I'm concidering some additional highlights on the jacket. any opinions on this?

the dragon will be great twen finished - the orange scales are good idea; are You gonna highlight black body or lust leave it matt?

about 54mm - nice colors, I'll try to incorporate similiar colors on my scavvies

The 54 mm fig is very nice, the face is already very promising, i can understand that you are satisfied with the result :). Keep us updated!

The orange on the Dragon looks good, not too sure about the purple yet...

new shots of my pilot, I'm very happy with the way he is turning out.

the pics are darker than the real thing but still give a good idea. I included a super large picture of the face so you can judge the blending and technique. Please give me all your comments about this, as this is my first 54mm figure and it's a whole new ball game.

It looks very good, 54mm scale is a difficult one to get the hang of like you said the blendings have to be smoother. I like the face especially, I think the jacket could do with another highlight on the highspots but other than that it looks great.

Very nice, especially the stubble on his face!

I love the skintone on his face, and the clothes look really good to! But the eyes look a little bit off, especially in the 1st picture..

you are right about the eyes .. the problem with the first pic is that it is too far away to see the reflection in the eyes, so it looks like he's cross-eyed. In the close up you have a better view at his eyes. Still I'll try and fix it
