if I am to recomend something, it would be Märzenfest https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A4rzen
Those beers` common names are: Dominator, Triumphator, Maximator :D After such one, you never remember when it has triumphated/dominated over you ;)

Hours for a beer? Man... Yikes...

I will try one of those heavy duty beers for sure. When it comes to beer I am not a lightweight, and I am training my Liver already. Hours for beer eh... I was hoping for a more stereotypically efficent and organized setup. We're there from Sep 26th to around Oct 6. Last day for Oktoberfest is Oct 4th I think. We're plannign on going down to Poland (gotta go to the the homeland, the city of "Radom"!) . I think we're gonna hit Oktoberfest for a couple days, rest a couple days, then train it around to a few places to get drunk in as many countries as possible. One thing living in Canada is we're accustomed to a LOT of travelling without really knowing it. I mean, sometimes to golf at a really nice course we'll drive 200km each way in a single day and think nothing of it. Putting that kind of distance into the context of Europe is wild to us. Just thinking we can hop a train and be in a different Country in an hour or two is sort of mindboggling and oddly sort of clausterphobic to me. Odd. Really looking forward to it and I'll be connected to the net most likely so I'd love to possibly hook up with anyone heading to Oktoberfest.

But... back on topic...

Way back when I was helping run a GW grand tournament. GW managed to take a pic of every army (around 200 of them) with some close up shots of some of the nicer minis. This was accomplished over the course of two days and the pics looked great. They used good equipment and a proffesionally trained photographer with lots of mini shooting experience. The pics came out great. That was in '02 and I think it'd be way easier now with new equipment and software. I mean the pics could be eMailed live to several people not even at the event to be croppped and sized on photoshop or whatever to make for better work. You wouldn't even have to fly them ot the event.

Well I certainly aim to have a good time!

And if you show up, I promise to buy you a nine euro beer! ... so long as you'll wait the hour in line for me...
