Ok this is just cool, i love the monotone feel of the mini. The lights are done well too, it feels like something from the film 300. Very nice. I think for me the only part which could be improved is the axe, I understand that the axe is rusting and because the blade is in use it'll have a cleaner edge, perhaps adding some extra contrast on the axe to give the edge a slight shine would make it pop a bit more, as your whole model from the armour to his flesh has massive contrast but his axe seems rather unfinished.

I agree on the weapon. I still lack the NMM skills to pull off a large surface like that. To mask this I applied some rust effect, but yeah it should look better if I painted light grey/white over the edges again.

Nice fig and nice tut mate I really like the monotone. Were did you get those resin skull sprues?
