I am with ToMaZ here - lost interest in this rebirth of Rackham. They were cool in the Rackham days because it was fresh and new.
Some time passed, new companies appeared, Rackham was not so cool to me anymore, well maybe only for its rarity....
Now it's available again, not any better than before.
Some say: If you stop moving forward, you're moving backward...

To whom do you address it?mahon wrote:Some say: If you stop moving forward, you're moving backward...
Legacy Miniatures or people who buy their stuff?

Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
I think I know why they didn't release that Dirz bird, what a piece of shit that sculpt is!
90 USD for both molochs is insane.
I'm sure that if they redo some of the more popular figures in blisters for a fair price, let's say 15 USD (still more than enough, they don't have to pay the sculptors and painters) I think sales will go well. Not a cash cow, but steady sales are possible if you approach this the right way in my opinion.
EDIT: has anyone else noticed the drop in stock numbers for the undead set? Last time I checked it was 188 or something, now it's down to 85. I think they made a run of 100 and were planning to do another 100, but cancelled that.
Discounts are also gone, everything is back to their normal price eg undead box 79 USD.
Drac Mac + 7 Fianna's is 89 USD.
Dirz chicken 109 USD.
great marketing!

Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
Did some complaining on the comments page of their news entry. Borg gave me a reply, although it's not really an answer in my opinion: https://www.coolminiornot.com/articles/6 ... ew_comment
Yes it is a way to get OOP Confrontation miniatures, that's right, so yes, it's a solution for everyone who wants to own an OOP miniature. On the other hand it smells a lot like forcing people to spend money on things they don't want/need.

I find interesting now CMON dodging the bullet... Its legacy fault they say.... funny how in the begining they were all like CMON brings you Confrontation back!--- I guess they received a shitload of complains
As been said, totally lost interest, they can shove their uber quality resins up their arses

I am with you Corvus on this one. I have also left a comment, but concentrating on another aspect. If the want people to play Confrontation, who will buy a 90$ box when for the same price you game a whole game from GW or PP?

Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
with every bit of news we hear about this "fabulous return" it starts looking like a very bad joke more and more
Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
Thats because its not confrontation that returns! What returned is another company totally unaware of the product they have on their hands and the market they are in... the only thing that returned is another company trying to milk confrontation license. Its sad really.Corvus wrote:with every bit of news we hear about this "fabulous return" it starts looking like a very bad joke more and more
Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
I find the realeses too expensive. I have a Kelt army and would LOVE to add Fiannas as they are about all I'm missing (I started the army after the fall of Rackham) but there is no way I'd be paying $90 for 6 of them.
For some reason $90 is beyond my limit for any miniature. I'm not poor and I love my hobby but I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a single purchase of minis (oddly though I'm happy to spend 5 x $20 over a month - weird psychological barrier eh?)

Re: Legacy Miniatures (Confrontation returns)
I understand what Angora means and I agree with him. I have no issues spending 150€ every months to get a bunch of minis, but spending 90$ (plus the shipping cost) for 6 minis is a big nono!
