these smaller crystal brushes are much nicer!
and the glass display cases with lamps inside were fantastic... something to be envious about.

I'm wondering if we could have had better pics of the minis if someone had just taken them while standing outside the cases. :-/

Yeah I think the lights there are perfect for minis shots. Lovely displays.

Oh easily. We could have had better pics if someone had just taken them
with a cellphone while standing outside the cases. Those cases were
nice - I thought my minis looked better in them than they ever had in my apartment.

Isn't Europe sort of choked with events as it is now? Would adding another high profile event in Europe even make a dent in the schedule?
Easily the level of competition at the majority of the EU events are tremendous in comparison to the events over here in North America, but maybe getting 2-3 larger events here might help get our asses motivated in this neck of the woods? I don't think there is any high profile events in Canada at all anymore. So I don't think it was a bad thing to give it a shot this side of the pond. True the level of competition would've been stronger in Europe but I hope to see bigger and better events over here as well.
'Course I need to go to ANY event sometime. I'm hitting Germany for Oktoberfest this year, I wonder if there is anything going on around that time? Hmm.
The pic thing and the voting thing was a huge crazy let down for me. Seems a no brainer that they would've had THAT side of the event nailed down. I hope they have a better system next time obv.

...but not with $15K worth in prizes...

yeah, Nameless is right - Hussar

it's very friendly, one can meet nice people there, and you may be the highest-awarded American painter ^^

I think the most obvious conclusion for them will be to pay more attention to quality of their photos the next time...
