Re: Corvus' WIPs
There is a difference, albeit not a whole lot. The skin is an overall warmer shade of grey, more of a grey+brown or grey+flesh. I like it, and I'm really glad to see some Red Box stuff painted.
Re: Corvus' WIPs
this time i c diffrence betwen parts
btw
i think you make Red in same way as im doing it but you miss 2 parts 1 in wich i create deep shadows end the 1 that turns Pink to red as for now your red is caind of pink (or it is pink on purpouse ?)

don't care much for the lady but this guy looks totally cool. love the colors you used and the decision to use such limited palette is definitely a great choice! keep it up!

Re: Corvus' WIPs
Started working on an Anima tactics mini for a competition over at YouTube. Nothing too fancy, this mini should be done by the end of the month. It's mounted on a VoodooWorx base.

I'm also using this technique to improve my zenithal lighting painting, and using more contrast. I'm still very inspired by Nomad's way of painting. I know I'm still far away from his quality level, but I'm quite pleased about certain areas such as the back of the legs as these look almost 2D, really suitable for an Anime character
For those who don't know Nomad, this is the style I'm aiming for:

ther is 1 easy way to check if you achived a proper lvl of contrast - make photo to grey scale - if it is perfect you made it right if somthing looks flat check it on photo then same on mini
best part you made atthis moment are - back of pants
but the vest - well you put light in bad amount if you use light end direct it on black material - it don't became Grey - it gets sharper edges end generates sharper shadows
the particular Nomic mini you posted is dresed in lethar .. end well worn lether act like that
this is polished leder :

snakes blouse - a black material - mat 1

trausers - a siut pants with a litle glare on them

trayed to get you a good photo of Black Suit .. on Google .. but quite fast it displays answer to similar but rather difrent phraze "Black Slut" .. so my serchings for perfect example ended quite fast .. atthous

Re: Corvus' WIPs
painting again... again I'm struck how hard it is to do something decent after a 10 week break
But I'm not aiming very high with this figure, just painting it for fun.

Looks good, but you need to bring up the top highlights a bit further! shoulders, around the elbows, knees, upper thight etc.
What colour are you going to use for the armour?
