I am no longer active 40k player and I don't check rules changes, so Slawek would have to confirm my thoughts. When I used to play frequently, power fists in units were 'invisible' and couldn't be chosen as a specific target of h2h attack. Tyrant had to kill the whole squad of standard marines before he could wound models with power fists. with 2 pf in a squad it was not a big problem to kill big bugs.

speaking of power fists...
don't terminators have 2 of these? 2 fists = 2 attacks?

no, but they have 2 attacks anyway thanks to terminator honours (terminator armour +1A).
I'm not sure if pf is their basic equipment.

EDIT: Mahon - yup, but they usually had some kind of INV 4+ protection :)

Speaking of 40k rules:
No - one can't pick up Power Fists out of a squad members.
Yes - one can pick heroes from squad, as most of them are treated as separate unit in HTH.
Killing a Tyrant in Close Quarter is not that easy for a squad with a single Power Fist, but if they are numerous enough, they should handle it before it kills all of them. A Thunder Hammer instead of Power Fists tends to improve this situation quite a bit. Lightning Claws on the other hand won't help much as Tyrant is Toughness 6 meaning you need 6's to wound him with those (and 2's with a Power Fist).
Anyway a nice dread it is.
Do not underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers...

Independent Characters as HQ can be singled out... But ie terminators do not have problems with killing big bugs.
Big squads with powerfist sarge have a chance too. The best guy to kill Hive tyrant is GK master - S6 force weapon :)

Misiu was faster than me :)
