hi everyone
I havent had much time to do much painting lately this is what Ive done it is going to be for me to keep I can't part with my rackhams :roll: anyway I've only worked on the cloth and base coated the rest. any ideas or feedback would be appreciated

Really nice minis are on your workbench :)
The first one is hard to comment, because there are only base colors. But this is a good start ;) On the cloth you need more contrast, I think by making the shades stronger.
Skorne guy - I am amazed that you didn't do the highlighting on armor with air brush, you really could go much further with it just like you did on the space marines ;)

hey guys been playing with this trying to work on my contrast :roll: only worked on red and black areas not being very adventerous with this just doing GW colour sceme as said just trying to work on contrast any comments welcome

As for the reds I would say, the base is good - now give it more contrast :)
You can go for the shades much further mixing red + a bit of dark blue + brown + black.
For the highlights go from red -> pink -> to white and at the very end give it a red wash or just diluted red paint. Because of the lower , lighter paints the red will look more reddish.

I think only a bit more contrast would help but actually glazing some more red into the colour to bring back much more of the colour instead of such a bleached out look. A nice progression so far tho :) keep going.

I pushed the highlights and shadows a bit more and did some more glazes as suggested it looks much better and is finished now just have to take some pics and post them , sorry about those photos as they are really hard to see the painting, had the flash on which destroyed the colours :doh:
