That was a compliment. I like old-school. In fact I prefer it over the comic-style and over-highlighted NMM's.
Which are nice but in a different way :)

Appreciate the comments on the last mini guys. I did this one up the other day. Nothing fantastic, just some laid back painting.

It's very much you :D the metallics are well done and i like them, my favourite part is actually the keg/barrel. However, i find the beard and his face a little flat compared to the rest of the mini. Saying that it's a very nice piece. well done dude.

another good one! Like arctica, my favourite part is the barrel ;-) Metallics are also good. I only regret that beer foam looks more like pop corn...

Painted for a Kabuki mini's contest over on WAMP. The mini is called Mater Lacrimosa. Very, very challenging mini for me to paint. I learned a lot on this one. Not sure how I'll do (You should see Arctica's entry! Man that kid does some awesome poppin' colours!). Thanks for looking. As always any and all comments welcome. I really like some of the perspective's I've been given on painting over here. Much obliged amigos! There's a CMON link for those so inclined as well. Again, thanks for looking!

TY guys!

Illusionrip- The red was kind of an afterthought. I had originally intended to use the same violet colours fromthe legs on the helmet and to do the blades in basic steel with a lot of red glazes in them. However I didn't enjoy blending the purple on the legs at all! I chickened out and decided to use red as I have had a little luck blending red smoothly in the past I went for that instead. Then I thought that if that was the only part of the mini in trhat colour it would look goofy, so I re-did the blades in the same colour to try and bring it together. Ah well! Live and learn! Defo better off if I start a mini with a more clear perception of what I want it to look like when I am finished. And I didn't really do that here.

Also, I don't know what "lisibility" means. Sorry. I even googled it and came across an arguement between several people about what it actually means too!

Also Illusionrip - when does that "Uncle Meat" mini get released? As a butcher, I have a special interest in that one!

i think "lisibilty" is just my word to say "readable" (sometimes like twin brothers i create my own english word  )

using the purple had been great...it perfectly math with the green

the butcher is released, just contact jacque alexandre filling the following formular
