Click to see full-sized imageThis was my first attempt at sheer cloth, and I found it to be a bit less tricky than I had originally thought. Of course, having a decent grasp on the concept of glazing was a big help there.
I'm not crazy about the base, but was running out of time, and this was the third option, after a couple of spectacular failures. I'm thinking now that time constraints are out of the way, I might go back and give it a better base. But then again, maybe I'll just get another copy of this figure and start from scratch (and not have some really terrible spots where I didn't prep the mini well enough).
Other spots I'm not crazy about -- the face and the strands of cloth hanging between the arms and the body. Oh yeah, and the fish in her hair, and the horribly sculpted and painted starfish on the base.
