Agree, certainly an odd choice for the "grim darkness of the future...", let alone an assassin.
It pretty much came down to me wanting to paint something teal and also deviating from the grey/black color scheme that seems to be the norm. Worst case scenario I can just throw a few black washes over the top and call it a day (kidding).
OT: I'm becoming quite the painting addict. My day pretty much went; Wake up, paint, breakfast, paint, store, lunch, paint, dinner and now I'm debating doing a bit more.

Going against what I said in the "what did you paint..." thread and updating. My friend back east wanted to see what I was working on and I had to take a photo anyway.
Two more layers of highlights planned. Debating a blue wash/glaze for the shadows or a red wash over the armor to pull it together. Probably doesn't need either, but some of the transitions seem a little abrupt.

I like the color and like the placement of the highlights. Interested in seeing how far your going to bring them up in the next layers.

Good to hear, put a lot of thought into the highlights.

Wasn't my idea, twas the decree passed down by the most flamboyant of deities. The pleasure god's options were purple plate or sequin gemstone dresses fitted with rhine stone buttons and that second one sounds difficult to paint.

Oh Mahon, you make my life so difficult.
I had some sharper highlights, but the red wash I did toned them all down a bit. I'll see what I can do.

I'm not asking or much, especially that you have such a nice mini there...
