The grass tufts are from a company called Silfor. Just google it and you should find a decent distributor in your neck of the woods. I think it's a German company. The tufts come in a LOT of different colours and sizes. These are the longest (6mm) and they make 4mm and 2mm as well. I really, really reccomend the product.

The tufts are SUPPOSED to be self affixing but I've never had any luck with that. Especially on a textured sandy surface like I typically go for. I bought a product called Zap-A-Dap-A-Goo II which is a flexible and strong adhesive. I reccomend it VERY strongly!

I have a blister of grass tufts too, known by the brand MiniNatur, but they are very hard to find to order online.

I'll check out the Silfor ones, they look quite similar.

Yes, some superglue is really required to fix them into place.

I really loved this mini from the first time I saw it! I thought it had a lot of character and I just loved the idea of a Chaos Dwarf Slayer-Slayer.



I tried for a more ambitious base on this one, not sure if it "clicked" or not. Also I am pretty proud of the severed head. Mike/Dragonsreach over on CMON had reccomended using space wolves grey to highlight flesh at some point for an older look. Also he suggested, and I stole the idea from Illusionrip's Uncle Meat WIP to try using some yellow glazes on flesh. If you're gonna steal ideas, steal from the best! I like the look of it, but defo need to finetune it for a living model. I've been getting some good stuff from this site! Thanks so much people!

nice work, this is looking very good. The skin in particular for me is great. The metallics are very nice, but i think a bit more in the way of highlights for those, not necessarily alot or all over, just on some spots like his weapon edge and his helmet. I find the weapon pole a little on the dull side too, but that is just a little nitpick Great work all around and your painting is improving considerably.

You are rigt, the severed head looks nice. You could add some blood dropping from it What Arctica said about the pole regards the boots also. Overall it`s a nice work!

You have created a consistent mood, which makes the mini attractive.
Maybe its not too flashy, without bright highlights, but I like it. A little bit old-school style
