I have heard of using tissue paper (the kind for wrapping/padding gifts, not the kind for wiping your privates or blowing your nose ) that had been brushed with or dipped in watered PVA, but not printer paper. Thanks for that! Sounds like it would be sturdier than tissue paper.
Ah, thick cork. A new use for my hot pads I got from Ikea then. Thanks for sharing! It's a really nice piece.

Red Riding Hoodoo: One of my TOP 3 sculpts for Pulp City. As a painter I'd say it is number one. Here's my drooling: the brush runs so smoothly on these curves, the miniature almost paints itself. The number of details and nice touches is limited to an ultimate number - not too crowded while still a challenge. The feathers, the voodoo doll, the basket, the bird skulls etc.
I don't like the radioactive dude - I'm not sure if that's fault of painting, sculpt or proto but that piece does't have "a think"
as for the second model - like; as You said there's lot of nice surfaces to paint and turn it into scavvy boss
I quite like Nuke. I'm not sure about RRH though. I've never been fond of zombie-style legs (spread from knees down, then both feet turned 'inside'). Cloak seen from behind bothers me as well. Don't know if it's connected with its length or width... Somehow it ruins proportions of this mini.
I like the RRH more, but it may be because of the paintjob on Nuke. It doesn't have to be bad - just very difficult to photograph. You may wish to use dark background for it...
The RRH is a bit plain for my taste, but I like it more - despite the legs
