Oh yeah! with few elements which are not so 'oh yeah' ;)
1. I'm not fully convinced by the way you paint texture of a fabric
2. left leg, front - folds look like they have shadow and highlight only, not transition and mid-tones.
3. blue clothing between his legs (cloak?) - rough white highlights.

Nameless thx for your opinion:D

ad1: well that's your point of view, I'm not gonna convince you my way is the right one:D Just out of curiosity, you don't like the way I paint fabrics in general or only here?

ad2: this leg is tricky, the sculpt here is pretty tricky. Look at the third photo, there is almost no room for midtones at the front, there is either highlight or deep shadow underneath. I'm not sure how else could I paint that element. The other thing is that I simply painted the throusers in light colour. That might be mistake, but I'm not yet ready to fully surrender to the rule that mini needs to go darker to the bottom. This guy simply wears light colours on his tunic (let's say beige) and throusers. But... TBH I'm not saying I made the right choice here, I'm still exploring posibilities here;]

ad3: it's not highlight... it's the bloody shine I'm affraid. The cloak is not fully mat, as it should be. I'm gonna address that issue for sure, as the cloak supposed to be woolen, therefore properly mat. Sadly it's not really visible in rl... that's why I missed it:(

And here new work, painted in 5 days, Faun Woman by Origen Art:

no reason to convince me to anything :) you just paint any way you feel and like :)
and yes, I rarely like the "striped" fabric.

I believe this photo proves there is some room for midtones.

and don't forget that I'm just nitpicking to make your paintjobs even more 'oh yeah' than they are :)

After long months of painting I managed to finish another mini (out of almost a dozen started).
Quite a difficult sculpt I must say. TBH I doubt I'd like to paint another one;p
