Yikes! This range is pretty impressive. I do like this wacko horror dude as well. I look forward to seeing what talented brushes do with these mini's!

Jody did an introduction story about the first one:

Now, the Chiropterus Rex by itself is simply a very large bat. However, in the wild one rarely finds the "necromancer bat" away from it's host. This great creature feeds upon the magics of sorcerers, and the tangy energies of the goblin sorcerer are a rare delicacy! By attaching itself to it's host's head with its huge mouth, the necromancer bat absorbs its power and can in fact manipulate the body to perform incantations and cast spells. The well known tenacity and durability of sorcerers even when facing life threatening injuries, on account of their magical powers means that the Chiropterus Rex can stay attached to the host for an indefinite period without the sorcerer dying, making this symbiosis one of nature's most successful partnership

I'm as surprised as all of you about what's been going on in the UK and over the past few days I've been glued to the computer waiting to see if the rumors were true. To be honest I'm still a bit shocked, and I see a lot of people saying they've given up and they're going to move on.

Three weeks ago I started a project of my own. I haven't played 40k in years. I can't justify the cost and I don't have a lot of free time due to work, but I can make my own miniatures.

I was going to release the details about this miniature after I had completed it and had a few casts to show you but with events in the hobby world being the way they are I thought you'd want to hear about it now before you ebay your stuff or pick up a copy of WoW

This is a completely poseable multi part miniature. You can create almost anything with it so with one figure almost all your bases are covered, but the real deal is that it comes with a user license. The license allows you to cast it and make copies of the parts for personal use only. So you can build it, mould it, and cast it, then disassemble it and do it again. Really, you can create an entire army with one figure, some resin and some silicone.

If this seems like a daunting task don't worry, there are plenty of tutorials on the net and I'll be making my own, but if you don't have the space or you just want to put paint on your minis and get them on the table, you'll be able to get squads of pre-assembled metal versions from your LGS.

When this project is done, other races will follow. It's not about making a lot of money, it's about making a hobby you can have fun with and afford.

GW price raise and sites like Maelstrom not allowed to sell to certain countries anymore plus apparently in Australia the prices for GW stuff are already much higher than in the rest of the world.
