maybe that 'random' programme has some system in pairing after all. But what do you do about it...

Guess I'll have to start working on my entry now :-)

Well, I don't mean to imply that it's either a bad thing or a good thing- it just is. After all, an equal distribution of results is only perceived as more random than repeat results, because most people don't really understand what random actually means. If you flip a coin a hundred times, and get ten "heads" results in a row, that's just as random as ten alternating "heads" and "tails" results, and you could make the argument that neither seems random.

Of course, you could also say it's not random at all, since the result of flipping a coin is based on what side is up or down when you toss the coin, how much force is applied, where on the coin the force is applied, the atmospheric pressure in the room, the force and direction of any air currents, and so can be predicted based on some complicated physics.

No, you just destroyed my hope that coinflipping was a fair way of deciding things! Now I know why I always lose them! :lol:

anyway, Round 2 deadline passed while CoC was down. Some really cool entries were uploaded, including those posted by our team :) Unfortunately, some of us will get kicked out this round :(
