demi, we don't ALL have the Fire effect. In fact, it's not nearly as common as you'd think. A lot of things only have it for criticals. Cryx has corrosion as a natural part of things. We've got tons of flamethrowers that don't actually set things on fire. ;)

They propably do now. I've heared rumors that they've changed rules for flamethrowers in "Prime: Remix".

@AoM: I've never seen any serious damage caused by corrossion, but've seen what fire-for-everyone can do with my troops :?

today I had a pleasure to play another cryx vs khador battle:
this time I faced Deco's brand new order - second destroyer (I mean that shooty jack), vlad, mortar and alexia + risen; conclusion:
- with blood of the kings casted vlad can be extremly annoying...
- risen: they were really funny guys until my warcaster was charged by 2 of them with alexia's special boost to attack and damage rolls: these sneaky bastards almost killed my poor lichie!!! :pale:
- well motivated (by soul tokens) pistol wraiths can do miracle! :gun:

today after work we (Deco & I) had another encounter:
we decided to go for pyrcon 2007 convent and therefore we have to practice some dirty combos to proudly represent sh!thole we live in :D anyway the battle was quite unique:
it was the largest battle we played so far (600 points :drool:) and the shortest one - it took us only ~hour to finish it (which is quite an achievement compared to our standard gaming time :razz: );
in the final action vlad and devastator (bulldozing jack) came close to my forces, protected by collapsed building and fire from 2 destroyers and mortar; Deco's plan was to survive my round (especially deathjack crossing their path) and after that release hell with help of exploding devastator + melee monster vlad (boosted by blood of the kings);
unfortunatelly my round appeared the last round of the game :twisted: I casted mage blight to prevent vlad and grey lords from casting their nasty spells, allocated 2 focus points on deathjack and before launching charge I casted dark shroud on DJ and threw black oil on vlad and devastator! :D after THE charge there were still unspent head attack + focus point left on my helljack... :pimp:

so the conclusions:
- I finally managed to see what can deathjack do in melee
- skarlock finally did something important
- I love You gorman :rose:

The shortest battle cause we ain't have a beer. :blackeye:

Somebody knows what to do with this sneaky bastard Gorman? Can't handle with him before he throws one of his nasty bombs in my jack. :evil:

about killing gorman: use the old witch and a destroyer: she ignores stealth. Or hope for a lucky scatter roll. If you can catch him in an AOE (bombard or magic), he's dead 8 times out of 10.
You can go hunting for him with a manhunter or Eyriss too.
Try to position your greylords so that you catch him in the spray. You can't target him, if you're further away than 5 inch, so you just need to target another model and have him near that model.

There are a lot of ways to kill gorman. It takes only 1 hit and he's dead.
