but why should someone prove is own work is legit? havent all these clone debates on other forums proven that he has a clean conscience and dont feel the need to justify himself? he only feels the need to sculpt more and i say go for itKlute wrote:I really think there is only one way to prove Scibor doesn't pirate these heads and its really quite simple. Copies or Scibor's original works? (Copyright issues)
This is how we often try to justify our deeds. But I think we're all aware of how much it really meansArtemis wrote:So because GW are rich it's ok to steal from them? How does that work exactly? "Your honour I broke into that guys house because I knew he wouldn't miss the few thousand I stole from him, he's a millionairre" "oh, ok then, you can go free"?

Well I think we will have to agree to differ on this one, your point is a fair one but GW have taken steps before on a small scale Sophia produced a totally sculpted mini that she called the Lord of Pestilence and it looked Nurglish but it was her own sculpt it was for sale on e-bay and GW made e-bay shut the auction down, so they can if they want to end something without going to the length of suing no matter where in the world you are. Now that definately is my final word as if Scibor keeps producing minis that appeal to me I will buy them for as long as I am able. I also buy a hell of alot of GW stuff so this is not my way of snubbing GW.

Have any of those debates actually ended with proof that he's not pressmoulding?NAVARRO wrote:but why should someone prove is own work is legit? havent all these clone debates on other forums proven that he has a clean conscience and dont feel the need to justify himself?Klute wrote:I really think there is only one way to prove Scibor doesn't pirate these heads and its really quite simple. He should prove his own work is legitimate because otherwise people will continue to call him a thief. As a businessman if people were calling 'me' a thief I'd do whatever was necessary to 'prove' I wasn't.NAVARRO wrote:but why should someone prove is own work is legit? havent all these clone debates on other forums proven that he has a clean conscience and dont feel the need to justify himself? he only feels the need to sculpt more and i say go for itKlute wrote:I really think there is only one way to prove Scibor doesn't pirate these heads and its really quite simple. Of course if I was a thief I probably wouldn't have actually admitted to it in public.
I also told that to Demi_morgana - if he showed photos proving it's his work (large photos so that the doubters can judge by themselves) he'd only close some mouths and maybe earned some (more) respect as a sculptor...Artemis wrote:He should prove his own work is legitimate because otherwise people will continue to call him a thief. @Kev the Hasslefriessian:
He uses some molds and some parts are sculpted by him. I've seen many of his minis in person so I know he uses a combination of both.

It might not be, I happen to think it is the truth though.NAVARRO wrote:@Artemis... you can call him watever you want, might not be polite or the truth but at the end of the day i think he simply doesnt caregood for him
And either way if he doesn't care then I'll add 'terrible businessman' to the list too. I've never met a businessman who doesn't care what his reputation is.
