I made some more progress with the terminator and i'm pretty happy with how things are going at the moment, perhaps some more contrast on the model will make it jump out a bit more, I've still been thinking about glazing on some more colours for the shades like blue to give it a bit more depth. I think a few more nights and I might finish the bad boy, i'm still debating whether to weather (;)) the model or leave him all sparkly and shiny.

Well I've kept it clean and tidy but some aspects of the model i'm not completely happy with. I think the armour might need a little bit more contrast perhaps, and the snow effect is kind of fuzzy, i guess it's why GW don't have the best quality materials.

Lol, that's some weird looking snow indeed ^^

I like the painting. Clean, simple but efficient. I'm not so sure, if I like the shoulderpad. The yellow kinda punches you in the face on these pictures :P The axe looks beautifull.
Is it an army piece, or a one off?

that's some fluffy snow ^^

I really like the way you painted the horizontal line on his leg. it looks like a line carved in the armor!

And I wouldn't add any battle damage unless you want to paint it in Bohun's style - you know what I mean, these shallow scratches he paints.

Thanks guys ^^

The Gw snow effect is too much like their static grass and flocking but white, I am wondering if i should have added more PVA to the mix and make it less spikey as such. Plus the yellow-ish tinge is from the lighting I'm currently using hence the poor photos (other than the fact my camera is poor quality too) When I get off my lazy behind and take some pics during the day i hope that'll make things a bit more clear and real.

@Tomaz: The terminator is part of my space wolf army so it's not a one off, there's like 15 of these guys lol. The yellow shoulder pad I wanted to use the standard codex colours and because it is for an army, having a really bright feature tends to help pick them out a bit more compared with the rest of the army. Maybe rather than working down from white I should work up from brown to give a less bright effect. Although, the colour of my bulb in the pic really didn't help with that either. Maybe i'll try a different way with the yellow on the next guy.

@Mahon: i'd actually been considering trying that effect which Bohun has done with the light scratches but as of yet i'm still not confident enough to even attempt that. Perhaps i will with some other models which are for display purposes as i tend to take more time with those sorts.

@Maru: lol yea don't eat yellow snow ^^ or trust a naked bus driver.

For power weapons i usually go with a blue as it's my favourite colour, but i think in this case it would have clashed a bit with the colour of the armour, so I wanted a change in colour. I did have it at red at one point ^^ but i went for blackcurrent rather than strawberry.

Anyway onto painting something different. I wanted to paint this mini for a while so starting it is quite fun and i managed quite a bit, but i need to smooth out the painting on certain areas but you get the basic colour at the moment.
