Thanks for the comments but the yellow effect was a camera issue i think, so i apologise for it being slightly misleading. I did however incorporate off-whites into the highlights so it's not all camera effect as i wanted a warm feel to the model anyway.

I'm pretty happy with the model but i'm thinking about perhaps having some sort of caption on the base. But still this was pretty good practice for me on gold NMM, there are still some aspects i need to work on but I have a generally positive look and feel for this model :) I think i could have been a bit more adventurous with the cloak perhaps and although the light effects aren't technically correct I felt the overall look is quite a good one for me.

like any other self respecting boogeyman im in your closet

but that camera actuale explains why your photos looks so strange ...
DiMAGE X21 - is one of thous old 2002 compact cameras made for outdors photos - it it is realy compact "pocket" camera but with full auto .. wich in 2002 lacks a lot especialy in pocket ones

so well ther is no way actualy to improve photos quality in artificial light for this camera - light sensor is not siuted to indors photos (it difers cold sun lught , warm sun light, dim sun light ..... but thats actualy all )

meybe alrdy mantioned "white / black/ grey" marker would help but dunt know how much .. or profesional light set ... but much less expensive would be to obtain new camera (lets sey from 2004 :P)

end now about painting ..
i assume i like the base i think the rocks are blue / cold ble hue wich nicly contrast withrather i think warm minature ., warm but actualy i think it is in real a "rich red" then what i c purple

ok i mey sey work is clean end smouth .. :) that dont reqire colors to c well ^-^
end i like how grass grows thru the rocks - looks wery natural

Thanks so much for the information Maru :) , i've been toying with the idea of investing into a decent digital camera for a very long time now as i've always known mine was not very good. Any recommendations of any in particular I should look at?

I see what you mean about the cobbled stones, perhaps i should have shaded them with a brown or red rather than a blue-ish hue. Definitely something to consider and work on. The background i use is actually a gradient of off-white to blue/black.

Okie dokie :) thanks Maru ! very helpful :D i'll have a look into getting something more appropriate for my needs.

I started painting a space wolf terminator as i fancied painting another GW model :) anyway i've only started the legs. Looking at the mini at the moment i probably need more contrast in there and possibly some thin glazes of colour to bring a richer feel. I might use a blue to give the shadows a slightly colder feel too.
Anyway have a look-see ^^
