@Trov : The earth is done with milliput and with blister foam :) After in some few part i take some little sand in the milliput.

automaton on OZ painters wrote:yeah that diorama won the sword, it's by Ben Komets (painting) and Kevin Kosee (from Tinsbits) who did the sculpting.

It's an insane amoutn of work - I was talking to Ben at World Expo, and he hadn't even started the painting, and only half the figures were sculpted hehe...so I have no idea how they managed to finish it in time!!! That was only a few weeks ago, the first week of july.
That's where I had it from :)

I am happy about Ben's success and I like the work, but I never quite liked the idea of allowing team entries into the same category as one person's entries...

Julien: Thanks! I need to play with that...

Please some details on the Sister you did. 54mm? Use of =][= pieces at all? I am I being a PITA?
she is 54mm from heels to eyes and 61mm in total (high heels). i didnt use any =I= parts, just miliput and tamiya putty. when i got to sculpt the bolter i had the rough shape and thought....wait a minute....took a standard space marine bolter and it was about the same size, so i took a bit of useless work off of me and made the plastic one taller and longer, with a new barrel and sisters heraldry, etc. thats the only thing that has a plastic base.

concerning teamwork: everyone knows my thoughts on that, no need to repeat ^^
mahon: what can you do? if there was a "no team entries" modus operandi by GW then people who do teamwork would just lie. As long as theres "fame" or money to earn, people will "cheat" in any way to achieve it. I simply wouldnt be happy with an award earned like this where 99.9% (a.k.a. everyone else) was working alone (though im pretty sure he could do it alone, no doubt about that - just the time savings alone is an insane advantage).
w0ps, now i did it again xP

I believe ben did the robot (he's better at tech stuff than Tin me thinks) and the odd mini...which i dont know...rest is done by Tin, but you can make wild guesses because of the style who did what (thought they fit together well none the less).

What would you charge to cast this or make another one for me. I really like it and would love to have one because any of my atempts at sculpting a SOB have been garbage that would causee many to scratch thier eyes out at the pain and horror of it.

Definitly a favourite of mine from your hand good sir!
