I think I remember from somewhere that Cyril has a Japanese wife, maybe he's influenced by Japanese Manga. That will explain a lot as those characters are known to be uhm...out of shape!
In that case I have one thing common with Cyril. I rrally like asian women (one at least) and I have wife from Asia too (but I do not feel influenced)

on topic: wether you like the girl or not, I think Cyril did a great job creating some kind of manga miniature

agreed, i am not a big fan of it because i'm not too much into manga. but in the manga convention the sculpt is pretty good. and cyril painted it well, too
as for the smilies - I just wanted to avoid conflict. that's all

To be honest i don't like the first mini...even if i'm well deep manga style.
It could be the strange pose or the face, which appear silly to me.
Mainly this mini leaves me indifferent: the paintjob is nice but the model isn't elaborate enough to make me say wow!
My opinion...
