As to the scientific side: as big and dangerous he looks, so "innocent" he is. You have to take care to give only as many crickets to him as he can eat, otherwise the crickets can eat him. As soon as you open the vivarium (so is the "terrarium" of sipers called), he flees back to his web and you don't see him for up to two weeks again. It is not easy to get a spider attack you, just like with other animals, he rather flees until he can, only attacks when feels cornered.

the same occurs with snakes...i remember nights passed half awake listening to the sounds of my terrarium fearing the rat will eat my snake (ahh,the old days!:))

She underwent surgery yesterday, so she deserves a little bit of extra attention She's a bit sleepy from the drugs and pain...
