I like the first 2. Its weird how Reaper hos such a variety in quality in their minis...
Some are really average.
What are the little ones on the bottom?

true. this batch was pretty poor actually.
Little ones are "stone something". I think they are part of bloodstone gnomes army for Warlord (underground race, IIRC).

While there are a couple in this last batch that are nice, some of them are, well, crap.

It's almost like they tell the sculptors "if it's for the Chronoscope line, feel free to half-ass it".

this applies to their every line. it seems that they have fanbase and distribution network big enough to release anything and still get their money.
fortunately for me, I can still find good sculpts in their range and even a gem from time to time :)

Yeah, and the fanbase can be a bit annoying at times. The could mold a rat turd, cast it, and people would think it's the coolest thing ever.

Then again, this can be said of most of the big companies.

Why are they all grainy? Do they prime them before shooting them?

They do indeed prime them before shooting them, thus these are 'whites'. A number of the whites that I've seen physically I wouldn't even bother painting because they aren't primed well at all.

What ever primer they are using should be tossed. I do have to say so this isn't the first time I have seen bad pictures. They have put some up with terrible mold lines. I know you can't stop them but come on choose on that at least looks good.

Any way enough of the bashing from me.
