Thing is, these guys are leader/hero minis, that's probably why they are so nice.

Hummmm, not sure about the these last painted ones, that painting per se is great but the color choices are kind of bad, candy blue ouch and that yellow tone just doesn't look menacing... these would look a lot better if they weren't painted like a ultramarine...

They remind me of Thousand Sons somehow. Compared to some other Mantic paintjobs these are quite good!

Kinda silly that the other 4 figures are painted completely different than the hero, but it's still way better than the average Mantic stuff.

All in all I like these figures, not a figure I'd pick for a painting competition, but in a well painted army they will shine. Reminds me most of the Man-O-War of Khador (Warmachine).
