Haven`t manage to continue, had to do a team for the brush slave league, cause time will be scarce this month.
Here a late WIP, if you know some tricks to improve them with not too much work i would appreciate it.
Tomorrow i will have some time for the hobgoblin again, but won`t be able to do pics before Monday.

Try to use black wash from GM on the meatal parts like the power sword.
Try to add a brigth spot to the eyes, try some orange color.

The chest of the one with the jump pack looks kinda messy. also the lightning claws lloks a bit messy.

Hope it helps.

Regards
Daniel

Ps. I haven't had the time to work on my B&W painting as i have been painting skeleton warriors for gaming.

The chest of the jump pack captain is messy. It is an old metal mini of Shrike after a head swap and some extensive filing some years ago. Then courage left me and it lay around. Tried to hide most of the mess behind the DA symbol and will try to correct more but i don`t know if it will be enough. Perhaps i will remove him and take a Chaplain?

The eye lenses? Sigh! I hate eyes!

The Blade? Will be on a workshop next weekend covering metallic paints, so i kinda left it.

Seems like the Termie is the one least objective?

The group shot looks great and although i like the cool effect you've added in the background it is also a bit distracting! :)

Problem is, you have to put everything in one or two pics and i don`t know if the "look at this pic-effect" is worth the distraction. Will take another pic with black background after redoing the blade to make a decision!

True i like the Termie the most :-) and in regards to the eyes as small as they migth me they are properly the most impotent part of the mini as it is a natural focus point of the face. so they are will worth the time and frustration is takes to get them looking good. and i know how you feel about eyes but once you get the hand of it is i really satisfying.

OK, tried to black out the background in GIMP, what do you think?

And the finished legs, still don`t really know what to do with the face.

Sorry mate, but I don't get the ghostly effect you have on your pics. If you have some black cloth then take the pics of them directly on it iunstead of adding a black background later on with a program. Imo this way it looks like you alter them too much which in your case isn't necessary! I'd rather see your pics straight from the camera! :)

Same as Skrit, I have issues with the glowing effect, plus it affects the mini cause every edges aren't as sharp as they would be.
