Ramshackle Games
Re: Ramshackle Games.
Welcome, Curtis!
Glad to see you here and I hope you can take our comments with a pinch of salt.
Yeah, the dungers are something between funny and ridiculous, especially when taken out of their context. My initial guess was that you were doing a post apocalyptic version of the Wizard of Oz, with a dunger being the lion and the metal robot being the tin man.
And man, I would love to see such a set, and probably even buy one. Is there a chance of seeing the scarecrow in some form so I could make such a set even if it's not officially released?
The vehicles are a totally different thing - more serious releases, and even though I wouldn't buy them (no use for them), I am sure they will find their buyers. There's always much interest in post apocalyptic vehicles!

Re: Ramshackle Games.
I came to this board because of the Dungers being voted the 8th worst model of all time! Brilliant! Thats a laugh. Im not sure why there isnt any of the really rough prince august etc. Plus loads of people like the Dungers, so its nice to hear the other side of the argument!
As for the 28mm thing, 28mm is not a scale, as Im sure you are all aware. All Ramshackle models are 1/5osomething in scale, so fit really well with the likes of GW, Infinity etc. In this image, the figures measure about 28mm to the top of thier heads, so match GW cadians for scale.

Yeah, I thought it must've been the reason of your coming here.
8th is not a place, hasn't been voted yet (and I must disappoint you, the model has very slim chances of winning against some really strong leaders)
Why aren't some other models listed? Well, only because nobody nominated them yet. As you could already see, the list was a tongue-in-a-cheek thread where everybody could send their own candidates. So
Actually it was me who nominated the dungers, and it was mostly because I remembered how many comments it caused so many comments here. Or it was not the dunger but the dungerlord? Yep, it was it.
I called it one of the scariest miniature monsters, and I really meant that (brought GW lammasu and manticores to my mind) until... I read that it "Looks like the lion ate an elephant and is choking on the tusks... " It was a funny comment, wasn't it?
then there came more models playing around the same theme, the only difference being the size of their tusks. the last one was the one with platform that Maru called a "forklift with idiots on top". And IMHO the comment was much funnier than the actual model (which I can see as a nice addition to stone-age fantasy games).
So - liking or not liking the models, I nominated one of them, to refer to the comments on the actual models.
Now in a more serious tone:
You say you'd like to hear arguments of the other side. Not sure if I am the right person to give you such comments, because I find these models amusing. Wouldn't see a place for them in a serious fantasy/sci-fi/post-apoc game but for a humorous one they're a perfect fit! So I am not surprised at all that there are people who like them.
But if you want serious comments from people who think the models are really bad - I think you will get them if you ask for them and any such people are present here.
Why I am posting this longish comment is because you deserve it after showing up here after having your releases nominated, instead of joining the negative commenters. Great attitute, which deserves respect and honest answers.

that's what I keep telling many folks.Maru wrote:check this out you alrdy got totaly free net advertisment of Dungers mini line
the list has been displayed several thousands of times in the last few days. I bet many people checked the manufacturers listed there - even if for pure curiosity.
I can see you have your strong favorites, Maruend ther is no chance they will get to top 10 worst minatures - not with wonders such like Nagash, Whopy Goldberg, Wet nurse
I can see the tagline "from the makers of wild dungers"so this line of creatures meybe is not best sculpted end painted line but is memorable controary to superbly sculpted Andrea minatures ...
But yeah, you're right. They're memorable, and they're no shame to your company.

Re: Ramshackle Games.
These seem like perfect additions for Demi's collection.
Who's doing the painting for your models, Curtis? I think the first model could be pretty impressive with some better painting, Looks much like some tyranid models but more alien and (IMHO) more interesting. Unfortunately the paintjob doesn't seem to help much...
