Im with sea-man on this one, i think there is too much highlighting and possibly base colours on this one and not enough shading. Some dark contrasting shading would make this one a splendid piece, good blending tho :D

Also, on the image-right side of the shield, where is that light coming from?

Think you and Czlowiek hit the nail on the head. I'm really regretting placing the oxidation there because it would probably look fine with out it.

I'm guessing you're talking about the painted lighting. May just be my lack of skill showing though since I had a hard time getting the shield to look right to my eye.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm not sure I can "fix" this particular figure after working on it more last night, but it will help me a lot on the rest of the unit and future projects.

lol and here i was thinking that he could just simply shade parts of the model and redo the details, rather than splatter blood on everything ;)

Getting closer! 8)

Decided to make the swords match my grey knight weapon(s) for continuity. Mentioned it in the other thread, but they're done with metallics and red/brown washes which it difficult to take accurate photos.

I think you could add more shading, it would make bigger contrast and look more eye catching :-)
