oh I know what do you mean - it reminds me my "painting crisis" I had 2 years ago - when I was making these paper models...

it was great pleasure to grab a brush after an over month long break and paint sth enjoyable;
right now I also have much less time for hobby and I'm very happy I can paint sth that fits my style (I hope to finish this piece during the coming week)
NAVARRO wrote:Demi rusty mastar zombie I have some doubts on how to paint my marines, I have 2 options, the realistic yet more messy rust like the defense line... or a more controled painting yet less realistic rust...
Any sugestions guys?
well it's all up to you - the only thing which should matter for you is just having great time

but personally I'd go for "controled" paintjob - huge chunks of rust look sweet on vehicles and large structures but make ordinary models look just messy*

whatever you decide - I can't wait to see effects of your painting!

No dont worry, Im like on other universe of crapiness away from Allan C
Your right mate as long as I have fun I dont care if it looks messy or clean or whatever ehehe... but I will follow the rust masta advice and go the clean more controled painting route.
Muhahaah finished freaky nuts rhino... will take pics tomorrow!

I'd go for the way you enjoy more.
Controlled rust will look better, uncontrolled rust may look messy. But if it's fun, why avoid it?

If it's a hobby it's about having fun!

100% agreed with Mahon
Ok time for things get nutty concept wise... I always wanted to make crazy rhinos so this is my chance to have fun with them... the Rhino for my first squad is done and its like a huge fumigaror of nurgly gas, made a little nurgle acolit to distribute the nurgle smell to all that venture to get close to this rhino...
I know, I know... many if not all will hate this because its neither just a realistic troop armored vehicle or a so common possessed chaos rhino with lots of bubbles and blisters and things. What can I say, Its the way I see fantasy industrial rhinos and I'm really going deep on my fraked up concepts ideas ehehe.
Let the Fumigation begin.

As a steampunk fan I love it

Very original Rhino IMO and the acolyte is a great touch. My only comment is that it looks a bit too big or positioned too far to the back.

Excellent. To me it's a candidate for Forgeworld release...

well, I don't really like it (not hate it, btw). this opinion has nothing to do with my image of a nurgle tank (which is slightly different), but with size of that barrel thing. as TMZ said, it looks too big, ruins proportions of a model.
this said - it's perfectly executed conversion job. I'd love to have your skills in regards to conversion/sculpting stuff.

I like it

there was ft-17 renault tank and it's special polish version (iirc there was onlu one test piece built) armed with fumators - maybe it could inspire you for the next rhino vonvrsion?
