I suppose your all right as there's barely enough room to get the brush in let alone blend anything
and no I didn't sculpt it although I wish I had as I would have put the hat on after the face was painted
I think I'll give his face a quick touch up to hide the black stuff then call it quits on that, next big task is to paint the underside of his hat without fudging the face up completly

Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

Update Time: Even though I feel like crap and have Lava Monsters fighting to get out of my bum I thought I'd do a little painting and took some picutres, apologies if I'm going slow but I'm still learning the ropes and am trying out lots of new techniques (well they are new to me
).
1st an update on the wizard cleaned and have now undercoated...

I think he just needs another layer of white and he's ready for some colour
however I'm not sure is I should do something about the pitting in the metal first though :thinks:
OK so now onto the Sea Elf, I have gone over his face and torso with some highlights so I hope there are no unplesant suprises with the skintones of the pictures

I hope you can see the difference in the eyes, it's no longer Adam Ant in tight trousers

And one from the back...

Now when I came to paint the torque black in readyness for a gold drybrushing I noticed something wrong with the elf's shoulder and I wonder if I shouldn't try and do something about it before I carry on or should I just ignore the imperfection and concentrate on the paint job?
Here's the bit outlined in a red splodge...

Anyway that's all I've done for now so I hope you can give me some good pointers in my techniques that need working on

The mark in the middle of the red splodge is a crease in the shoulder muscle, I though it would go away when I painted it light but the shadows just make it look like a piece of steel girder
at least through my head magnifiers it does
the dark mark you see is shadow and not paint!
Thank's Demi
but I fear my repair to the shoulder area might wreck the whole job :suicide:
Thank's Demi
