photo (and paintjob) update* :D
thanks to the constructive critic models looks surely better now: not mentioning new background I added some shading (would like to add even more to increase the conrast but I don't want to screw the model :pale: ), worked on wounds and added spark of "life" to the skintone;
more criticism is more than welcome - model is still not varnished sooo I can correct it a bit today ^^
I think I could add some striking oxidation on the axe and paint more dark blood leaking from wounds... :think:

*just to make it clear - I replaced previous, crappy pic with the better one CLICK!

I think it looks much better now. The background also works better than the previous one IMHO.

I am just not very convinced by the yellowish decolorations on his skin. They improve the look but somehow seem wrong to me, but it might be a matter of taste now. The only real suggestion is to improve the black glove - it looks as if it was just basecoated...

okido - plan for today is: highlighting yellowish parts, increasing some shadows and repainting that darn glowe... why couldn't I add simple tentacle? :banghead:

Moved the topic to WIP section for you mate, as requested!

The PB is excellent. Maybe some more shading and indeed the glove could use some more work.

well I know I technically CAN but I've noticed that after sealing the model... well it's not as attractive to my brush like before varnishing... it's like performing sex using condom :razz: :bonk:
