Nameless, I don't know if it's really as small as these OLD dwarfs. remember the GW scale creep over the years...

all mini companies are now making a bit bigger models. what I meant was that it is 28-35mm scale (just like other linked by me), and not 54mm.

Nameless mate I have been talking this since the begining
"never again such
dinamic cool dwarfs were made "
Dinamic alone cannot be detached from the miniature concept/fluff (the tiptoe dwarf and jumping terminator examples remember?)
The dinamic of a miniature depends on many factors, you can have say a very contained stone golem and its dinamic because it fits his concept... people have diferent concepts and ideas and tastes and when analising a miniature and its dinamic its diferent to everyone because:
- you have an idea of what does and doesnt fits dwarf concept
- the movement that a dwarf inspires can be to much or to less to fit your idea of dwarfs
what im trying to say by dinamic is thatyou cant simply understand it detached from your personal limits and some things cannot be analized seperated from context
Maybe were just both blind with our boundries

Well, maybe there are other dynamic dwarfs now, but at that time tohose were a blast. To me they still are.
They manage the 'dwarfish' definition of dynamic

Look at their proportions - they're just barrels with short arms and legs. They can't get any more dynamic without becoming ridiculous.
And for example the Andrea dwarf is a bit thinner and has longer arms, which allows for more dynamism. Of course, it looks more realistic, but in the GW style, with small and barrel-like miniatures, these dwarfs are really top notch examples of how dynamic a dwarf can get

And I just got another look on my Mr 6 and i can confirm this... the best ever!
Just look at his arms, one above chin with weapon and other with shield held above back, it really looks like he his attacking hard!
ok just checked andreas scale and you cant be comparing something 32mm if not more with something 25mm if not less

...to what I replied:
I will not discuss the coolness factor, as it is a matter of individual preferences. However, statement about dinamic is very debatable to me
yup, I guess we're both blind... at least when it comes to reading others posts
ok then, let's talk about cool AND dynamic dwarfs. renegades are cool AND dynamic. They're not the coolest dynamic dwarfs ever made though. In my humble, and very individual opinion of course.
As for scales - find me a company which makes true 25mm minis nowadays. Hasslefree perhaps?

that's what I hate about GW dwarfs. what's the sound of gw dwarf charging
roll, roll, slap, slap, roll, roll, slap, slap...
@pucis - I'm eager to see minis made by our brothers from south

keep us updated.

Gezz that wasnt so hard was it? A guy has to really quote/tease/push buttons/type big posts/annoy you just to get a simple opinion from ze master critic these days
I totally agree with first half of your sentence hehe^^
As for scales these new companies just take the easy road... no hardcore sculpting anymore wich means more sand sacs for my side of the barricade hihihi ^^
