aha finally an overview of the winners :)

first surprise: goatman is still alive! :) No seriously: I thought he completely abandoned the painting scene. Anyone knows what he's up to? Nice work there nonetheless. But I don't really agree with that dwarf winning silver :/

I think Jasper's place is well-deserved. Those porkies are also well executed, but the base looks rushed.

Trovarion's third place is undeserved I think: IMO it's one of the most spectacular pieces of the entire competition, together with those looting Kroot :)

Some nice minis there :)

The chaos dwarf is poop. I really don't like it. Banshee's Ogryn is still as great as when I first saw it. And I'm impressed by Matt Cexwish his diorama. Very nice idea and execution.
The slaanesh chariot isn't that good either.

Looks like it was a good competion :)

Well Goatie actually spend some time here last year so we know he was still doing some painting...

I actually think last years competition had more quality, that or these pictures (as usual) don't do justice...

I like quite a lot of winning pieces. I'd change an order in few categories, but most of shown stuff is good.
Most of them :) I don't know why the chariot or chaos dwarf are that high.

How many more demons will catachan ogre win? This is one of the greatest pieces ever made, but how many more competitions it will be entered to? :?

i think it's the first demon it won, it was "only" finalist in Spain, they only give out gold, silver, bronce in WH single, 40k single and open if i am not mistaken, the other categories get only the gold+finalist.

It sure deserved to finally get that demon ;)

My mistake - I thought it had won in Spain
This does not change the fact, that I don't like to watch same models entered many times in different competitions. Just my point of view.

i can understand that :)

however - considering i did the same with my (infantry!) UM that got dumped to Monster Category in Italy - I can also understand the painter-side, having spent so many hours and knowing it can take a trophy...it would be a real waste not to enter it again...

well i think the same year entries are tolerable, but repeating same entries for some years is a bit to much... some stuff that dont even qualify for statues in germany probably wouls win on some US GD's so its only normal people try to win something with their hard work.
