derwish is truly a freehand master (even though the banner is a bit over the top in my opinion ... a bit as if it is a banner which just happens to have a (extremely well painted) miniature attached to it).

According to some comments I have read it was between this miniature and Matt's Diorama for the Slayer Sword at GD Germany.

Derwish at his best. I still remember his magnificent diorama from 2009, that won him the Sword. It was between the diorama and Ana's Sir Berthillac then, and losing to Derwish is still an honor!
