I think a green glow would look nice. Where were you planning on adding it?

Re: cancerworm - wip
naaah, at least in case of cryx army that's just tabletop painting - it took me 2 evenings to paint whole thing, not long evenings btwmahon wrote:...and surely better than tabletop quality!
well it's not the matter of loosing time - I just want the model look decentNameless wrote:I'd add that green if I were you. OTOH, if it is a gaming piece, you might not want to loose more time on it
ok - there will be the glowLittleDave wrote:I think a green glow would look nice. Where were you planning on adding it?
and I think I'll paint it on replicator (tail weapon) and around neck-vents
what color should I use for shading silver elements? any ideas? simple brown tones?
or maybe better solution is painting these elements grey?

do you really need any advice regarding painting metal?
my latest idea for metal shades is purple, but I'm not sure if it would work on your dark piece.

painting silver so it looks nice on pics...
I also used some reddish tones for shading on the brighter sice and blues on the dark side but I think I should add more layers to make these tones visible
anyway silver elements don't look such crappy in reality but here we can only judge and comment pictures

RE: Re: cancerworm - wip
and here's another one!
it should've been posted last afternoon but I added new hardware to my pc - and I have to take it to the service again
my pc didn't work long enough to replace the background with better one...
anyway here's golab - so far the first and only dark age modei lin my collection; today morning I highlighted the monument a bit (on pics looks much darker than I expected), I am also considering adding something on metal parts - weathering, rust, ANYTHING to make is less boring aaand I am thinking about painting a little bit blood pouring from the stitch-thingies on the head

Very clean and bright. Not something I would expect from you but I like it. The skin is looking maybe a bit too healthy for my taste but I still like the piece as a whole!

Good thinking! Somehow I thought that piece (gionat head) was much bigger...
