I really like reds on this model - hope whites will also be such nice!

Yep you are correct they haven't been finished yet. I started applying the base colours but started to get tired as it was late at night so i just stopped rather than try and finish/ruin the model.

For me i quite like the huge quantity of detail on a GW minis, i generally leave the small bits of detail towards the end as they can on many GW minis pull the model together. Although in some cases it can be frustrating aswell.

When I get to the point that I should be painting all the tiny bits, I am so tired with the model that it ends up on the 'to-be-finished-in-undefined-future' heap.

Well it's one reason why i work along and do whole sections of the model rather than the classic do all the same coloured stuff at once. For example i generally start with the legs of the model and finish all the detail on those and work my way up. So i will be doing the detail as i go along helps me keep my concentration and i like seeing parts of the mini finished as it's progressing or else i think i'd have alot of semi-finished models around

Damn man that is just turning out to be all kinds of sweetness.

That's the way I feel as well. When was the last time you guys saw me actually finish a GW miniature?

I'm still impressed i saw Mahon finish a mini this year

not only I finished it, but also:
- it was a GW model
- I painted all the details
- yes, I mean the skulls
- and I also mean the blood
- and a few more skulls
- and chains
