Back of new elf army box. The best thing about this is the price: 50 pounds for 70 models.

Yeah prices are really good... looking at range... most is just not for the painter but theres some very interesting things to buff your wfb units and convos... I look at gouls and zombies and I see potential.

yeah the zombies aren't bad, lot's of configuration options and extra bits. The sculpts are more slender and less cartoony than the GW ghouls for example.

Aye, I got a free-sample of the ghouls a while back, and they're pretty decent. Although I'm nowhere near as good a painter as the rest of the folks here, I could paint it up to see if it'd look any better than the company pieces. Without a doubt, though, Mantic is a company that's there for the gaming half of the hobby. They offer better prices than GW with decent-quality plastic sculpts for a tabletop game, not for the painters. It's not a bad thing, they just know who their market is, and what lack-of-quality they can get away with due to this. And hey, if it's working, more power to them. If I finally get it in my head to do a fantasy army that's not Ogres I might just use them.

From the Wayland Games newsletter deal? How long did it take them to get to you? I'd honestly forgotten I'd done it when they arrived.

Well I had a chat with wayland owner about a very hard to get miniature and he got it for me personally so I dont know if it was a deal or not, I just got that mantic sprue and some more goodies... It took about less than a week to get here.
