skin is a little bit boring for now, but you want to add some colours, so I'm waiting for final pics :)
good work for now, both painting and basing. Oh, apart from that snail shell

Oh cool, thats really nice Demi. But i do agree with nameless on the skin, i think a bit more colour would make him awesome, although saying that i do like the spot on his foot with a bit of reddening around it. Maybe you could do more effects like that across the other features on the skin? But great work demi !

thanks Szary - looks like this is the model I wanted to paint for a looonf, long time :)

@Neolis: I got your point, I'll consider smoothing the infected tissue around the blister when I'll be adding corrections

I agree skintone is a bit boring on pics - I;kk add some color variations to make it more convincing

and to make thinks ablolutely clear: I found dried shell in the garden, as vegetarian I couldn't sacrifice any creature (even as disguisting as snail  ) just to make a base

Wow, Demi's on a paint run! ;)

The model is cool, would be apprpiate as a Necromunda Scavvie too. The paintjob is good and the base is great too. Some artificial water would look nice I think...

I like the scene, except for the snail, which seems to be a bit too big for my taste.
I like the paintjob, but think that some more variation of colors in shadows on its skin would improve it.

One part I really don't like is the way you shaded the muscles on its stomach. Such rapid and brutal shading was not really necessary there.

But generally, even though a bit too flat and monotoneous, the whole thing is full of atmosphere and looks very interesting. Somehow brings John Blanche's works to my mind... (and it's a compliment in my book!)

I didn't even mention it - with your paintjob it actually looks good. and I don't really like most Warzone models!

I'm still waiting for articial water (from JAMA  ) so in the meantime I decided to put sth on the wooden base made during the week (I think the base will be my most favorite element from this model... :? ), so here it is - new chaos knight wip:

ImageClick to see full-sized image

now some explanaton babbling:
-it's Nameless' fault I'm posting this crap now, he forced me to take a pic and post in wip thread
-it's still wip
-pony's flesh looks a bit odd now but as you can see (on the plaque) it's papa-nurgle worshipper's mount, I'll wait with redoing it until I finish the knight
-photo turned out pretty dark, I have no idea where do this strong contrast came from
