Now what impresses me is maybe only the wide range of their products.

Not so much with the quality any more??

I think I expressed it in a wrong way. I have nothing against quality of Reaper sculpts and casts. Actually I never had any problems with them.

What I meant is that several years ago that I discovered Reaper miniatures it was like "wow, there's something like this and this and this, and ..." - you know, a guy who has only seen GW models before is amazed with the richness of ideas, different styles, characters, etc. These models were not just 20-30 regimental models which look very similar to each other.
I wanted to have and paint so many of them..

But then many new manufacturers started producing their minis, and I discovered others I haven't known before. And in comparison most Reaper models don't shine to me as much as they did before. And as much as I am sentimental to many of my old favorites, the new ones don't have the same level of appeal as the old ones had to me.

Just compare them with the Rackham models, Avatars of War, many new GW models, Helldorado stuff, Enigma, etc.
There's so much goodness out there that it's not the same WOW level as it used to be.

I think they're comparable to many ranges of historical miniatures. But where I have lower expectations from a zulu warband, I still like fantasy stuff to be nice - especially that there are so many alternatives from other manufacturers that you can't resist comparing...

Not that there's anything wrong with it, or that the quality has decreased - I just think I got used to them and saw many other miniatures which I liked better.

What I know is that the other ranges are much smaller and they don't produce as many new releases as Reaper. So it's hard to compare the AoW goodness with Reaper releases - which are more numerous, so some of them may be just fillers. But on the other hand it's difficult to avoid these comparisons.

There were and still are many interesting sculpts from REaper, but the problem might be that the WOW effect has already faded for me...

I've just seen the rest of latest Reaper releases and must say Nameless was kind enough to show us only the better ones...

@Arctica - so we have similar opinions on that.
