nice. horizontal shadows on a chest look bit exaggerated, the surface seems to be quite flat there. Very good job nevertheless.

that's what i thought - blue cast from the light. so far so good - really nice and smooth skintones. i must say i don't like the sculpt at all. the way the muscles are sculpted isn't good IMHO (check his chest) and proportions seem to be a bit off...

and demi - had he used blue wash here, it would be pretty goood as underpainting to create colder and darker shades of the origial colors in shadows

I know that trick - that's why I asked, I was just wondering because I couldn't imagine fur in blueish tones - 'zets all :)

remember it usually disappears under many layers of paint - it doesn't actually show through but just 'cools' the color of shadows. gives a slight hint of blue in shadows. often when you look at real shadows you would be surprised with the colors you can notice there...

I actually used blue in the skintone, but I'm not a fan of washes (liks I said in another topic today) I would paint it on directly rather than use a wash.

@ Mahon, yeah the proportions are a bit off, but he's so much fun to paint :) I really enjoyed painting the skin. And I quite like his pose. I guess it's a love it or hate it sculpt :)
