As much as it might make you unhappy, I like both.
You already know about Kemmler, which is totally different from the 'classic' colorful version but still very cool and much more in line with the realistic/believable approach.
And as for the terminator - I think it would benefit from some chipped paint and stronger edges on the "paint" surfaces, but this way it's good enough to make it one of my favorites in your gallery. Maybe it was just so refreshing to see you paint a 40K model again?

heh good old times-warhammer rpg and the "lichemaster" adventure  I like your version- colours are nice dark and hmm "lichy" dunno how to spell "liczowate" I just don't like the birdy thing top of his staff (I ripped this part on my model)

I like the reds you used on Kemmler, they work well and are a nice change to the old paintjob from GW. :)

Is that liquid on the base just snail drool?
Love these mate... Just a sugestion I find your minis style cool yet sometimes i get the feeling they all look extremelly dry (wich is cool) but would be even cooler if you in some very very small parts use something gloss for contrast.

Keep it up.

I've been thinking about returning to satin varnish for a while  good point!

and as for a snail, yea - I locked it in the cage and told him: drool a lot you mothafucka! I need it for a base!

I think it's because of matt varnish Demi uses...
I also believe his works are more contrasted when he paints them, and then he kills the effect with flat varnish...

Try Krylon and just a thin layer of it

we had only spray version.
can't remember if it's this: https://www.krylon.com/products/matte_finish/ or this: https://www.krylon.com/products/satin_finish/
I'd guess it was the first one.

now we also use car sprays but it's all hit or miss...
