not really, you don't need to replicate exactly these patterns. I remember the Imperial Guard codex from 3rd edition of 40K and there was a similar pattern proposed on one of uniforms. in 30mm scale the pattern is not that difficult to paint because it's simplified - every shape becomes just a few brushstrokes in different directions.
